A hero image (sometimes referred to as a hero header) is a large banner image at the top of the website. It acts as an introduction to both the website and the company.
When adding a hero image, use high-quality images and make them pleasing to the eye without being distracting by using appropriately sized text and an appealing color contrast. Ensure that the image isn’t too large, because if the website takes too long to load, it can reduce website traffic by 20%.
